Primary Teacher

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./BTC). OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./BTC) obtained in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) (D.Ed. Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). OR
• Graduation (or its equivalent) along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./BTC).
• Government Primary School Shiksha Mitras working on an honorarium basis who, with the permission of the State Government, have successfully completed the 2-year D.El.Ed. programme from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
• Regularly appointed Assistant Teachers/Head Teachers (Primary) and Assistant Teachers/Head Teachers (Upper Primary) serving in all categories of schools allotted a DISE Code and teaching Classes 1 to 5 (in-service teachers).

Upper Primary Teacher

• Graduation (or its equivalent) along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC/D.El.Ed.). OR
• Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri) (Regular/Institutional only). OR
• Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri) (Regular/Institutional only), obtained in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Regulations issued from time to time. OR
• Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR
• Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. integrated degree. OR
• Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. (Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). OR
• Graduation or Post-Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. However, the minimum percentage requirement at the graduation level shall not apply to candidates who were admitted to the B.Ed., Bachelor of Elementary Education, or equivalent teacher education programme before 29 July 2011. OR
• In-Service Teachers: Regularly appointed Assistant Teachers, Head Teachers, and Assistant Teachers (L.T.) serving in schools having a DISE Code and teaching Classes VI to VIII (6 to 8) are also eligible.
